Description

Upon reaching Svartalfheim in The Quest for Tyr, you have the option to explore the Bay of Bounty, where you may stumble upon a mini-boss Draugr called The Hateful. Each time you defeat this boss by finding a new Draugr Hole, you'll gain another spark to add for a total of six. See each location below: years prepping for a war and no one ever asked if the other side even knew what was going???? That’s pretty hard to believe. (Early info, not a spoiler.) Not to mention that’s a long time to prep! After the defeat of the Bed of Chaos at the hand of the Chosen Undead, the flames of Chaos persisted. It would eventually be discovered beneath Eleum Loyce, in the form of The Old Chaos. The Old Chaos would go on to consume many of Eleum Loyce's knights, turning them into Charred Loyce Knights, and eventually claiming the ruler of Eleum Loyce himself. The Ivory King would eventually be freed, at the bequest of his oracle Alsanna, by the Bearer of the Curse.

When everyone is pushing her to become the villain they claim her to be, will she be able to become the monster the realms need? How far will Aria go to protect those she loves from Knox's wrath? How long can she evade the man stalking her every waking hour as her body and mind fight against the growing need for him to claim her? Can she break the curse that has plagued the Hecate bloodline for over 500 years while protecting her heart? Ashes of Chaos is the second installment in the Legacy of the Nine Realms series. Aria began a battle against Knox and the witches in the previous novel. These are the times when it was hard for her to have a smile on her face during the war.

He wants revenge for his son’s death and for the people of his kingdom. No one knows Aria’s father, not even her sisters; the only information they’ve is that he’s powerful and immortal, so when she meets Knox, he isn’t only taking Aria’s virginity and awakening the beast that lives inside her. Aria knew she had a huge task of cleaning the family’s mess made in the nine Realms, but she wasn’t ready for the horrors within the realms. Dark magic had taken over the land when Aria found herself in the middle of the war. The 1st is with the pacing in some areas. The dragging of certain scenes; while not expanding more on the FMC's family history, was disappointing. I'm not sure if I missed discussions or if the info was so briefly discussed that it got lost in everything else going on (esp. when this story is mainly from the FMC's/Aria's POV). Creating a new House of Magic is hard work. Aria knew she had a tall task ahead of her, cleaning up the mess her family had made in the Nine Realms, but nothing could have prepared her for the horrors that awaited within the Nine Realms.

Aria and her sisters return to the Human Realm of Haven Falls to find one of their own that’s gone missing. They soon discover things have changed in the Human Realm and that nothing is what it seems, including Knox, the egotistical, self-centered, frustratingly gorgeous man who declared himself King during their absence. They’ve outdone themselves doing the right thing in the coven, and when evil threatens their existence, Aria decides to return home and try to make things right. Unfortunately, the mess caused by Aria’s ancestors is about to come and haunt her.

Publication Order of Guardian's Diary Books

We start of with Aria Primrose Hecate of the Hecate witch bloodline arriving in Haven Falls in search of her sister who has gone missing. Here she meets Knox who is hot as all hell but really the worst. He treats her like dirt and while everyone around him falls at his feet she goes toe to toe with the egomaniac. The banter between this pair is amazing and the chemistry sizzling. They both feel this pull to each other and fight it as they completely hate one another. Him because he despises witches especially Hecate and her because of his almost irredeemable downright nasty treatment of her. When Knox calls her, Arian knows that he has an agenda. Knox declared himself a king in their absence, and now she can’t trust him anymore. Knox feels connected to Aria, but unfortunately, she doesn’t fit his revenge plans. Characters make choices that are totally illogical (without a spoiler, example, they have a conversation near the end of the book that should’ve completely changed his thoughts about her family, but instead reinforces his opinions). Only then you can take a boat now found in The Sinkhole and row over to the far side of the arena to reach the Berserker, and defeat him in combat - but be warned, you'll want a power level of around 8 to stand a chance of defeating him. If you are new to Amelia I envy you. You will fall in love and read all the books she has out there.

Hutchins considers herself to be a coffee addict as she drinks a lot of the “magical potion” that is coffee and uses the drink to help her create the magical worlds that inhabit her books. The author runs a fan group on facebook where she can often be found hanging out with her fans. Knox has ulterior motives for being in Haven Falls and never expected the little witch to show up and brazenly challenge his rule. Aria’s inner monster is impatient and does everything she can to get to the beast inside Knox, even when she knows her heart in him. How much is Aria willing to sacrifice to protect his family and her loved one from Knox’s revenge?Sparks fly when the two enter a fiery battle of wills as Aria learns she is more than just a witch in the Hecate bloodline; she is much, much more. Sorry for talking about those books as this is a completely separate series, I genuinely just love Amelias style of characters.

Can Knox let go of the past and his drive for revenge that will destroy the witch he lusts for, or will he push hard and go on with his revenge plans? The Blades of Chaos are the token weapon of the God of War series and are iconic even to those who have ever only seen images of Kratos. The Blades of Chaos have been in Kratos's possession ever since the first God of War, and they've made an appearance in every game afterward. However, one of the more unique features of God of War (2018) is that Kratos doesn't begin his adventure with the Blades of Chaos, which means he will not be able to find Chaos Flames until after he dawns them again. Aria’s in the hands of her enemies, and things are going from bad to worse. Those who she thought were allies have become enemies, and enemies have become allies. On top of that, Knox’s history is unraveling, and it might just be Aria’s undoing. The Flame of Chaos was created by the Witch of Izalith when she attempted to use her Lord Soul to recreate the First Flame [1]. When she was unable to control it, she was consumed by it and transformed into the Bed of Chaos, mother of all Demons [2]. Most of her children were similarly consumed and transformed into monstrosities; her daughter Quelana, however, escaped and used the Flame of Chaos to create the art of Pyromancy [3].Oh my goodness this book was amazing!!! I have read all of books in the Fae series by Amelia Hutchins so I had high expectations already going into this but it just blew my mind. The Legacy of the Nine Realms series begins with Ashes of Chaos. The story begins after the events of the first book as Aria is looking to create a new House of Magic. She knew about the mess that her family had left, but nothing could’ve prepared her for what awaited her in the Nine Realms. Aria wants to protect those she loves, but how far will she go? Will Aria embrace her savage side to find her sister and save her family, or will she burn to ashes from his heated kisses and burning hot embrace?
